The Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the Police Department) implemented project no. LT06-3-VRM-TF-001 "Improving Work Quality and Enhancing Competences of the Justice Chain to Protect Victims of Domestic and Gender-Based Violence" (hereinafter - the Project) partially financed purchase of a system of portable video recorders (body cameras), signed the public procurement sale the contract for the system of portable video recorders (body cameras), which is intended for carrying out large-scale video processing processes. It is planned to purchase 1,800 video recorders (body cameras), which will be provided to Lithuanian police officers responding to incidents. This will help to better record evidence of domestic violence and other details of events.
The operation of portable video recorders (body cameras) is closely related to network data storages (servers), so the Police Department implemented the project's partially funded server installation services, body camera data storage solution expansion services, and body camera data storage solution system event software (event collection system), purchasing its installation and configuration services. The Police Department signed public procurement sales contracts for network data storage (servers), server installation services, and a contract for the expansion service of the body camera data storage solution and the system event software (event collection system) for the body camera data storage solution, its installation and configuration services.
