As part of the “Improving Work Quality and Enhancing Competences of the Justice Chain to Protect Victims of Domestic and Gender-Based Violence” community police officers across Lithuania are organizing meetings with communities to raise public awareness and dispel stereotypes of domestic violence by reducing public tolerance of domestic violence. During the meetings, reinforcing members’ understanding of what is happening to those experiencing domestic violence, why and what difficulties they face in the way for reaching help and the important role of communities for domestic violence victims.
