From October 23 to 27, 2023, the IV workshop on the topic "Sharing Good Practices" took place at the Stovner Police Station in Oslo. During the workshop, police officers, along with representatives from the General Prosecutor's Office and Oslo Police, examined cases of violence in close environments and shared their practical experience.
The following topics were addressed during the workshop: Police-conducted interviews and domestic violence – detectives' capabilities and experiences; "Angry Man" and children at home, violence: witnesses, victims, or police informants?; The Risk Prevention Unit in cases of domestic violence; Domestic violence phenomenon from the crisis center perspective; Familiarization with the Police Patrol Unit and equipment; Police activities aimed at preventing domestic violence in Norway - a historical perspective; Planning and investigation of cases in the context of violence in close environments.
At the end of the workshop, participants, working in groups, analyzed two cases of violence in close environments. The police, along with prosecutors, discussed the practices of the Norwegian police and addressed challenges faced by Lithuania on this issue.
All workshop participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn directly from Norwegian colleagues and gain inspiration for implementing new ideas and practices.
