The closing conference of project No. LT06-4-VRM-TF-001 “Strengthening of Inter-agency Cooperation and Increasing of Crime Investigation Quality in the Lithuanian Police” (hereafter referred to as: “the Project”), financed under 2014-2021 Programme of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, was held on 16 April 2024. It was attended by project partners both from Lithuania and abroad, along with officers of other Lithuanian and foreign law enforcement agencies.
The closing event of the project brought together project partners and guests from Poland, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior, Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau, Police Forensic Science Board, Lithuania’s county police headquarters and other Lithuanian institutions, such as the State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior, the Special Investigation Service, the Financial Crime Investigation Service, the Customs Criminal Service and other colleagues. The event was also honoured by the presence of the Norwegian Ambassador to Lithuania.
During the conference, issues related to the aims and outcomes of the project were discussed, project activities as well as challenges faced were overviewed and success stories were welcomed. The closing conference not only provided the opportunity to review the project and its results but also served as a perfect space for closer communication, exchange of experience and challenges arising in police activities and in activities of other institutions.
